OUR STORY - FROM CURIOSITY TO A MISSION

It started with a question while travelling: “Why does everyone love Lao coffee so much?”
But back home in Laos, I couldn’t find it. That curiosity led me on a mission — to connect with local farmers, roast with intention, and bring Lao coffee to the world. Since 2016, Navela Coffee has proudly championed the rich, smooth taste of Lao Arabica.

 

In 2025, we're making our next big move: introducing Lao coffee to the U.S.

Our Beginning

From Curiosity to a Mission

Navela Coffee began with a simple moment in Melbourne — hearing people rave about the unique taste of Lao coffee. But when I returned home to Laos, I couldn’t find any. That curiosity quickly became a mission.

In 2016, I started sourcing directly from farmers across the Bolaven Plateau and other regions. Over the years, we’ve grown from a small roastery in Vientiane to a brand proudly sharing the smooth, rich flavor of Lao coffee across borders.

Now in 2025, we’re taking our biggest step yet — introducing Navela to the USA. Our story is still unfolding, but the heart of it remains the same: to bring people together through coffee that matters.

At Navela Coffee, we believe the story behind your coffee matters just as much as the taste. That’s why we travel to the remote highlands of the Bolaven Plateau in southern Laos — where altitude, volcanic soil and care create something exceptional.

Every bag you open connects you directly to the people, place, and purpose behind that coffee bean. Because for us, sourcing isn’t just about finding the best beans — it’s about honouring where they come from and who made them.
